Our Review
The National Bank Corporate Mastercard® is built first to simplify your accounts payable and your team’s spending. It is not a rewards card: National Bank’s page mentions neither a points program nor a welcome offer.
At a glance:
- $35 annual fee, plus $35 per year for each additional card
- 19.15% interest rate on purchases
- 9.9% rate shown by National Bank on balance transfers and cash advances
The card comes in several formats to fit your needs: an individual Shopping and travel card, a driver card and a vehicle card for fleets, a physical departmental card, and a virtual card that generates a unique number for every transaction.
You stay in control with restrictions set card by card: merchant group or category, specific merchant, transaction amount, daily, weekly or monthly credit limit, number of transactions, and days and times of use. The Mastercard® Smart Data® app exports your data to your accounting system (G/L codes, receipt management, expense reports), and the Client centre corporate card lets you manage cards online.
If you would rather earn points, National Bank points businesses to its Platinum Business Mastercard.
